WONDERLAND EXPRESS

Exhibition of miniature trains winds over bridges, under trestles, and through mini-replicas of Chicago's favorite landmarks. One of the Chicago area’s top holiday “must-sees,” and a family-friendly, made-for-memories experience.  Bring the smartphones and video cameras, as our holiday exhibition delights children and parents, friends and families. Kids, look out for Thomas the Tank Engine!    Caroling, Handmade wreaths for sale, Ice Sculpting and a Holiday market add to the festivities.

NEW YEAR'S EVE BASH AT KOHL CHILDREN'S MUSEUM
We saved the biggest event of the year for last!  2 parties - 1 BIG day! 8:30 - 11 a.m. Morning Session geared to pre-school ages* | 12:30 - 3 p.m. Afternoon Session geared to early elementary ages*. We're doubling the fun with two New Years celebrations as we transform an entire wing of the Museum into a giant Times Square style party with the biggest confetti drop you've ever seen!

FIRST NIGHT EVANSTON
Evanston New Year's Eve celebration features  performers in a kaleidoscope of genres, plus family-friendly performances and activities for kids both big and little! It's a night for friends, music, poetry, fun with great food trucks for refreshment! Events take place  in 6 venues surrounding Raymond Park in downtown Evanston. A single admission button gets you into all the venues!

Jump into a variety of creative adventure scenes and an “action star training center.” Each activity station provides an imaginative setting where you can try out surfing, kung fu, dancing, or climbing. High appeal challenges test your balance, strength, coordination and endurance.

Moira's Afternoon Tea every Wednesday and Saturday at the Celtic Knot Public House is hosted from 2-4pm.  Mini sandwiches, homemade scones, whipped cream, strawberries, and little pastries, and teas from around the world. Adults: $19; Children: $12
