Chicago’s North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau offers a complimentary planning service to help you with the logistics of creating a spectacular North Shore experience including any needs you might have for group overnight accommodations. Lakefront Treasures

Located on Lake Michigan, Chicago's North Shore features a lakefront full of treasures:

• Charles Gates Dawes House, a National Historic Landmark and home to the 30th Vice President of the U.S. showcases life in a lakefront mansion at the turn of the 20th Century. A walking tour of the surrounding neighborhood features homes built by Daniel Burnham and others built in the Prairie school style of architecture.
• Frances Willard House Museum, home to the famed American educator, temperance reformer, and women's suffragist. Built in 1865, the home is where Frances Willard lived and worked. It contains an intact collection of original furnishings and objects.

Visit these attractions unique to the North Shore

• Chicago Botanic Garden is one of the most popular botanic gardens in the U.S. boasting 27 gardens situated on 385 acres on and around nine islands, with six miles of lake shoreline.
• The Illinois Holocaust Museum, the largest in the Midwest, tells the story of the Holocaust beginning with pre-war German life and showcases more than 500 artifacts in the permanent exhibit. Also featuring an Interactive Survivor experience and rotating exhibits.
•  The Halim Time and Glass Museum houses over 1,100 time pieces and over 80 stained glass pieces of art in a one-of-a-kind collection.
