Getting To and From Wrigley Field From Chicago's North Shore
It’s easy to root, root, root for the Cubbies when you live on (or are visiting!) the North Shore thanks to public transportation. Here's how to get to and from Wrigley Field from Chicago's North Shore.
Fans will then get off at Howard to transfer to the Red Line, which will take you right to Wrigley Field at the Addison stop. If it's a weekday night, you can also catch the Purple Line Express from Howard and get off at the Sheridan stop. From Sheridan, Wrigley Field is less than a 10 minute walk.
Coming from or near Skokie? The Yellow Line (a.k.a. Skokie Swift) will also take Cubs fans to Howard, where a transfer to the Red Line can be made. Stations include:

Before and After the Game
Because you’ll already be in Evanston or Skokie on your way to and from the game, why not plan even more fun with a meal before you head to Wrigley Field or go home?
In Evanston, start the day with breakfast at Bagel Art Cafe (615 W. Dempster St.), just a one-minute walk to the Dempster Purple Line stop. A bacon, egg and cheddar breakfast sandwich or a dozen bagels for $9 will make sure your entire group is fueled for a day of cheering. Cupitol Coffee & Eatery (810 Grove St.) is another great stop for those looking for coffee, juice, smoothies and breakfast items like omelettes and pancakes before the game. Plus, it’s only a five-minute walk to the Davis Street Purple Line stop.
On your way home, get off at Davis and make the short walk to La Cocinita (1625 Chicago Ave.). This restaurant serves up contemporary Venezuelan-inspired Latin American street food like arepas. Or keep the fun going at Smylie Brothers Brewing Co., where you can enjoy local beer and tasty barbecue.

In Skokie, Kaufman’s Bagel & Delicatessen is mere minutes away from the Dempster-Skokie Yellow Line stop and offers pastries, bagels and more to those fans leaving for the game early. And in keeping with the sports theme of the day, fans can head to The Village Inn Pizzeria Sports Bar and Grill after the game for pizzas and burgers, all of which can be enjoyed while catching Cubs highlights or other baseball action.
