Sing praise and hallelujah to an evening of holiday hits from the gospel tradition! This Winter Weekend, the Adrian Dunn Singers return to Ravinia to add a festive spark to the joyous season of giving. Led by Emmy Award-nominated composer and conductor Adrian Dunn, Chicago’s all-Black professional choral ensemble promises to take “the entire audience to church and beyond” (Times Square Chronicle), blending beloved carols with rich, soul-infused arrangements and glorious gospel voices. The ensemble made their Ravinia Festival debut in 2022, performing Dunn’s arrangement of “Goin’ Home,” and returned this summer to join the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in Carlos Simon’s Good News Mass under Marin Alsop. They have also appeared at Carnegie Hall, Washington National Cathedral, Chicago’s Symphony Center and Harris Theater, and California’s Zipper Concert Hall and Segerstrom Center. Recent highlights include Mozart’s Requiem with the Elgin Symphony Orchestra, their Chicago Philharmonic debut with Dunn’s original composition Redemption, and Joel Thompson’s The Seven Last Words of the Unarmed with the Chicago Sinfonietta. On screen, the ensemble performed the scores for Sacred Soil (Hulu and Disney+) and the motion picture Honk for Jesus, Save Your Soul. In June, the ensemble released a new album, Resurrection X, celebrating 10 years of incredible choral performance.
Admission Fee $32 - $42.
