Violet

Join us on the Greyhound bus as we take a theatrical journey from North Carolina to Oklahoma in 1964. The namesake of the musical, Violet, has lived her whole life with a visible scar across her face following an accident as a child. Having saved enough money to travel for the healing touch of a TV evangelist she is certain will make her beautiful, we watch her pilgrimage bring her face-to-face with two soldiers and scars that run much deeper. Set to a musical landscape of show-stopping gospel anthems, country, blues, and honky-tonk rock music, the trio’s journey becomes a rollicking ride through love, growth, and self-discovery.
