ROSES for THE ROCHES - a tribute to Maggie, Terre, and Suzzy Roche with special guest host ALEX GRELLE and special guest musician MACIE STEWART.
Fresh off their enthusiastically-received set at the Evanston Folk Fest, Chicago’s “Roses for the Roches” (harmony junkies Nora O’Connor, Sima Cunningham, and Kelly Hogan) will bring their loving tribute to legendary sister trio, The Roches, back to SPACE on Sun Dec 6th. The quirky and brainy songwriting and laser beam harmony vocals of Maggie, Terre, and Suzzy Roche have influenced countless musicians since their debut in the mid-1970s — from early super fans Paul Simon, Linda Ronstadt, and Phoebe Snow — to today’s crop of rabid devotees including Indigo Girls, Brandi Carlile, and Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers. O’Connor, Cunningham, and Hogan will present a set of Roches classics and deep cuts - featuring special musical guest Macie Stewart (Finom, Tweedy) - and hosted by the fabulous and inimitable Alex Grelle.
