MahJong 101: Learn to Play American MahJong

Join us at Palmhouse in Evanston for a fun and beginner-friendly Mahjong 101 class! In this two-hour lesson, you’ll learn the basics of American Mahjong, including tile identification, the Charleston, reading the NMJL card, gameplay strategy, and table etiquette. No experience is needed — we’ll guide you step-by-step in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Whether you’re brand new to Mahjong or looking to finally learn the game everyone is talking about, this class is the perfect place to start. All Mahjong materials will be provided.
