I'm Not a Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce

The Skokie presents "I'm Not a Comedian...I'm Lenny Bruce". Experience the extraordinary life of one of America’s most groundbreaking and controversial performers in this critically acclaimed one-man theatrical production. “I’m Not A Comedian… I’m Lenny Bruce” is returning to the Chicagoland area for a limited 3 performance engagement after successful runs at the Royal George, Venus Cabaret @ Mercury Theater, Biograph Theater and North Shore Center for the Performing Arts! More than a comedian, Lenny Bruce was a fearless social commentator whose battles over censorship and freedom of speech changed American culture forever. Through a powerful and deeply personal performance, Marmo brings Bruce to life—tracing his meteoric rise, groundbreaking comedy, turbulent relationships, battles with the justice system, struggles with addiction, and enduring fight for the right to speak freely.
