Families are invited to join Dr. Dana Suskind for a special interactive afternoon of play at Kohl Children’s Museum, inspired by the themes of her newest book, Human Raised. Centered around human connection, character development and early childhood learning, this family-focused experience will encourage meaningful conversations and shared discovery through play. Throughout the Museum, quotes from Dr. Suskind’s book will prompt reflection and engagement, tying key messages from the book to play in the exhibits and beyond. All regular exhibits will be open for play; Adventures in Art will close at 3 PM. Throughout the afternoon, Dr. Suskind will help welcome families and share brief reflections on the importance of relationships, communication, and connection in a child’s development. The first 100 families to check in will receive a free copy of Human Raised and will also have opportunities to participate in a book signing and photo opportunity with the author. This event is free for adults and children, but advance registration is required. Space is limited.
