America Grows - 250 Years of Garden Stories- July 4, 2026, marks the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We’re celebrating by showcasing the history we know best: gardens. Join a guided walking tour of the Garden and get a closer look at the Heritage Garden, Fruit & Vegetable Garden, and more. This tour features America Grows: 250 Years of Garden Stories. You’ll also hear about the Garden’s history and development, including the Skokie River Corridor and current initiatives. Free with admission; no registration required, 45 minutes and covers 0.59 mile.
