Looking for a fun activity to get out the family out of the house? Check out Skokie’s first Geocaching Adventure Lab “Big Art Along the Skokie Valley Trail” treasure hunt game. This family-friendly high-tech treasure hunt takes you on a tour of the big art installations between Dempster and Oakton Streets.
Skokie is famous for the Sculpture Park on the East side of town and this adventure will introduce you to the interesting works closer to Downtown Skokie. During this five stop tour, participants will cover approximately 2-miles making for a nice bike ride, although it is also walkable and drivable.
Adventure Lab is a new outdoor game. Unlike traditional geocaching, Adventure Labs do not require a physical container, which makes it a great socially distant and contactless activity.
Get Started: Download the Adventure Lab app, set up a free account, and search for "Big Art Along the Skokie Valley Trail” in the Skokie area and begin your adventure. Geocachers can search for GC8WGQ4 in the Geocaching app which lists preferred parking on Elm Street near the intersection with Terminal Avenue.
