Rose Terrace Beer Garden at Chicago Botanic Garden
Rose Terrace Beer Garden
Rose Terrace Beer Garden: CBG’s Rose Terrace Cafe is now the Rose Terrace Beer Garden. Open throughout the summer, this beer garden offers four to six Midwestern beers on tap and a variety of canned or bottled beverages. Sandwiches, salads and snacks are also available. This is the place to unwind all summer long!
Garden Chef Series at Chicago Botanic Garden
Garden Chef Series: On Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer and fall, you can visit the Garden to watch cooking demonstrations by some of the area’s best chefs. You’ll learn new recipes you can try at home using fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies. Find a complete list of this year’s participating chefs here
Nature Nights at Chicago Botanic Garden
Nature Nights: Families will love picnicking at the Garden before exploring the grounds after hours with a tram ride, planting project and s’mores by the campfire. Nature Nights take place throughout the summer and include a variety of themes.
Tuesday Morning Music: Throughout the summer, start your Tuesdays with a trip to the Garden for a variety of music including jazz and Spanish guitar.
Farm Dinners at Chicago Botanic Garden
Farm Dinners: Dine under the stars at the Garden this summer. These farm dinners celebrate locally grown ingredients and come with local spirits and wines, a tour of the Regenstein Fruit & Vegetable Garden, and a delicious meal prepared by Chef Cleetus Friedman. Best of all, proceeds from the dinner will benefit the Windy City Harvest Youth Farm, which guests will learn about firsthand from students.
Heirloom Tomato Weekend at Chicago Botanic Garden
Heirloom Tomato Weekend: Learn all about the heirloom tomato at this annual late-summer event. Experts will share tips on growing tomatoes, help you decide what varieties are best for your own garden and more. Plus, kids will enjoy a tomato toss and the “Sorting Supper” game while also being able to make an herb mix to bring home and use with pasta sauce. And local vendors will have their tomato products available for purchase.
