Kristallnacht: Beginning of the End, End of the Beginning

Join us as we commemorate the 81st anniversary of the “Night of Broken Glass” with a program of remembrance, featuring cantorial selections by Hazzan Benjamin A. Tisser, North Suburban Synagogue Beth El, and a performance of “Silenced Voices” by BLACK OAK Ensemble. These recently uncovered, emotionally-charged string trio pieces were penned by Jewish composers – all but one of whom perished in Nazi-occupied Europe. This commemoration will also include a candle-lighting ceremony by Survivors, and reflections from the Consulates of Germany and Israel.
Free to the public. Reservations required.
Free; Must RSVP . Type: Festival/Special Events.
