Los Angeles- and Chicago-based TWO FIELDS OVER — lifelong friends Jared Matt Greenberg and Christopher Travis — "Masterfully blends intimate indie pop with folk sensibilities [to provide a] profound, listening experience" on their debut LP, Grains of Verse. Multi-instrumentalist Greenberg is perhaps best known for his work in post-rock quintet Whale Fall and his solo project The Paper Sea. A founding member of 1990s San Francisco shoegaze band The Rosemarys, he teamed with Charles Wyatt to form Charles Atlas in the early 2000s, and has performed and recorded with several other groups. Vocalist and musician Christopher Travis, a poet and literature professor, brings his versatile voice, “a rich and resonant sound,” evocative harmonies, and masterful lyrics to the debut.
