Songs of Elton John

Join Alton Smith and Friends for a retrospective of Elton John's early career through his ascent to superstardom in the mid-1970s, with songs from Empty Sky through Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy. Alton Smith is a piano player and singer who's played with many of Chicago's finest musicians for the past 20 years while also teaching at Chicago's legendary Old Town School of Folk Music. He'll be joined by multi-instrumentalist Tommi Zender, Chicago bass player extraordinaire John Abbey, keyboardist and vocalist Debbie Kaczynski, and drummer/percussionist Peter Manis.
