Radio Free Honduras is a cross cultural, multigenerational collective of Chicago musicians that exists to support the artistry of Honduran folk music legend Charlie Baran. Prior to immigrating to the USA, Charlie was a renowned singer, songwriter and burning guitar slinger in the mostly undocumented music scene of Honduras in the 70s and 80s. This band mostly plays Baran originals, selected from his songbook that spans more than fifty years and transcends genres.
