Your favorite bride is ready to say “I do,” so it’s time to celebrate her before the big day. And what’s the best way to do so? By gathering her loved ones and enjoying time together over good food. These North Shore restaurants offer private and/or semi-private event spaces, so you can enjoy a beautiful space and all of the delicious fare while showering the bride to be. Best of all, they’ll make sure your event is picture perfect.

Evanston

Celebrate over sushi and Chinese food at Koi Fine Asian Cuisine & Lounge (624 Davis St.). This restaurant  has two private dining rooms for events with a guest list of 10-250. Order sushi platters with rolls like Chicago Maki (salmon, avocado, cream cheese, spicy tuna, crab, tobiko, scallion, and chili soy) and Mexican Maki (crabmeat, avocado, cucumber, spicy tuna, tomato, cilantro, onions, jalapeño, and red salsa) or dishes perfect for sharing like Stir Fried Broccoli with Beef, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Garlic Shrimp, Braised Pork Belly, and Lo Mein Noodles. At Firehouse Grill (750 Chicago Ave.), you'll have the entire second floor all for your party and can choose Family Style, Buffet, or A La Carte. The seated family-style dinner includes three entrees (try the Spinach Ravioli, Mac n' Cheese, and BBQ Chicken), two salads (options include Chopped and Cesar), two sides (Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Roasted Mixed Vegetables, Broccoli with Lemon, or Rice), and two desserts (maybe New York Style Cheesecake, Apple Crisp, or Triple Chocolate Cake?), plus beverage packages. A La Carte offers a wide variety of options ranging from small bites to tacos and skewers. Or for the beer-loving bride, head to Smylie Brothers Brewing Co. (1615 Oak Ave.), which offers two private event spaces. The Mezzanine features a full bar, a fireplace, and couches, while the Private Dining Room has tall windows that look out onto Oak Avenue. Food is served buffet style and the menu features platters like Artisanal Cheese and Charcuterie, appetizers like Avocado Crostini and Candied Bourbon Bacon, sliders like Pulled Pork and Veggie Burger, wood fired pizzas like Spinach Artichoke and Soppressata & Honey, and more.
