Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hosts Major NFL Event! Our very own Renaissance Chicago North Shore was selected by the National Football League to host the choosing and announcement of the NFL's new Commissioner, Roger Goodell. This high-profile, highly anticipated event, which took place last month, brought NFL owners together to select a new commissioner . . . something that hasn't happened in 17 years! "It was a true honor to host the NFL owners at our hotel," said Michael McCurdy, General Manager of the Renaissance and Chairman of Chicago's North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau.
