Group Travel Market Proves Successful for CNSCVB Group Travel Market Proves Successful for CNSCVB
In an effort to attract even more visitors to Chicago's North Shore, staff members from the CNSCVB attend various trade shows and conferences throughout the year. Most recently, Caryn Shulman, the Bureau's Tourism Marketing Manager, represented the CNSCVB at two trade shows which targeted the very important group travel market. The first was the American Bus Association Marketplace (which took place in early February in Virginia Beach, VA), where Caryn met with motor coach operators who were interested in planning trips to our region. The second, the Bank Travel Conference (which took place in mid-February in Grapevine, TX), provided Caryn with an opportunity to meet the principals within the country's top financial institutions who choose destinations for their bank's growing travel clubs. Both events generated numerous leads and potential new business for Chicago's North Shore. Coming up this month, Caryn will be attending and exhibiting at the St. Louis Travel Show, a first for the CNSCVB.
