The Emmy Award-winning 1970's Saturday morning cartoon series that taught history, grammar, math, science and politics through clever, tuneful songs (such as "Just a Bill," Lolly, Lolly, Lolly" and "Conjunction Junction") is coming back to the Centre East Theatre stage with two shows on April 3 (11 am and 1 pm). Tickets are $18. Also for kids is the musical Click Clack Moo for grades Pre-K through third, Click Clack Moo tells the hilarious story of Farmer Brown and his demanding animals who go on strike. The Midwest Travel Writers Association (MTWA) is the longest-running professional travel journalists association in the country. The journalists are convening in downtown Chicago, the city where MTWA was founded, for their 60th Anniversary Conference, April 6 - 10, 2011. Gina Speckman, the Bureau's Executive Director, will be representing the CNSCVB at the event. "We are thrilled to be a part of this conference and have the chance to promote our North Shore members" Speckman said. The Antiques & Garden Fair returns for the 11th year with more than 100 dealers from Europe and the United States showcasing the very best in antique garden furnishings, botanical art, jewelry, crafts and home and garden design. This year, the indoor display gardens will be designed around the theme, "Landscapes Transformed: Gardens of a New Era" to reflect modern landscape architecture with great structure and form. On Friday at 10:30 am, world-renowned Belgium landscape architect Peter Wirtz will speak about contemporary gardens. Tickets for his presentation are $35 in advance/$45 at the door, and include a same-day fair pass. Fair hours are 10 am to 5 pm each day. Pulitzer Prize-winning author, historian and Northwestern Professor Emeritus Garry Wills and 2010 Nobel Prize in Economics recipient Dale Mortensen will headline the 14 featured speakers during Northwestern University's 42nd Annual "A Day with Northwestern in Evanston." Presented by the Northwestern Alumni Association and open to the public, the event will take place from 9 am to 3:30 pm and will feature hour-long lectures and panel discussions by prominent Northwestern alumni and faculty.
