The staff of Chicago's North Shore Convention and Visitors Bureau had a busy September as they promoted the amenities of Chicago's North Shore to three very influential target markets. On September 6 and 7, they were in Washington, DC, exhibiting at HSMAI Affordable Meetings. Voted the "Best Industry Tradeshow," last year, HSMAI's Affordable Meetings is a forum where planners, properties and suppliers all come together to do business. Next stop was Boston (September 8-12) to exhibit for the very first time at SYTA (Student and Youth Travel Association). This event was extremely important, as it targeted a variety of organizations involved with organizing youth travel. And, finally, they exhibited at Chicago's Bridal Expo/The Wedding & Home Show. Over 200 brides stopped by the booth to learn more about planning their wedding on Chicago's North Shore. Representatives from the Renaissance Chicago North Shore Hotel and Illinois Nut & Candy exhibited along with the Bureau.
